Should I reconfirm my flights, hotel or car reservation?
Travelers are advised to contact the airline, hotel or car rental company at least 72 hours prior to departure.
At the time of reservation, ABS Travel provides your contact information along with the form of payment, to the companies on which you hold a confirmed reservation, and these companies may not be able to get a hold of you in the event of itinerary, hotel or car changes.
This is specially important, when traveling on different airlines to reach your destination, or returning home.


What happens if the airline has changed my flights?
If the airline changed or cancelled your flights, the airline must assist you. ABS Travel did not change the flights. The airline did, thus the airline must fix your itinerary and/or ongoing travel. The airline has your contact information such as your telephone number and email address. This contact information was forwarded to the airline at the time of the reservation. Never let yourself be misled by airline employees into believing that ABS Travel is the entity that needs to fix the flights that were changed by the airline!


What type of travel services can I get?
ABS Travel is one of a few travel agencies that provide airline travel, hotel and car reservations worldwide. In other words, ABS Travel provides domestic and international tickets anywhere in the world, with a few exceptions, Cuba, Syria, Iraq, Libya, and North Korea. Other than that, if you can reserve them in our online system, you can buy them from us.


Can I purchase round trip, one way, or multi-itinerary tickets?
Yes. You can purchase round trip, one way or multi-itinerary tickets with us. ABS Travel offers domestic & international tickets in just about any country.


Can I buy domestic tickets for travel in another country, or tickets for international travel between any other countries?
You can purchase an international and/or domestic ticket for yourself, a friend or family member for just about any country.
You can also purchase multiple itinerary tickets. Example: From New York City to London to Buenos Aires, then back to New York City. (NYC-London-Buenos Aires-NYC)
Or for example: Miami to Lima, Peru, then to Cuzco. Go overland to Ecuador and return from Quito, Ecuador back to Miami. (Miami-Lima-Cuzco/land portion/Quito-Miami)
Or for example: Buenos Aires to Cordoba to Iguazu to Ushuaia to Buenos Aires. (Buenos Aires-Cordoba-Iguazu-Ushuaia-Buenos Aires)
Or for example: Paris to Lyon roundtrip (PAR-LYS-PAR), or Rome to Milan one way (ROM-MIL)


Is my credit card number safe?

This encryption makes doing business over the Internet as secure as making a purchase by telephone.


How does my credit card guarantee my hotel reservation?
When you supply us with your credit card, we pass that number to the hotel. Your hotel reservation will be held until the date and time you indicated that you would check in. If you cancel your trip or decide to stay elsewhere, you must cancel your hotel reservation within the specified time or the hotel may impose a "no-show" charge.


Can I use an international credit card? What if my credit card is not from the USA, or from the country where I will be traveling?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. You may buy tickets even if your credit card was issued by a bank in the USA, Canada, México, Europe, Asia, South and Central America, etc.! We also accept debit-cards, those issued against your checking or savings bank account. International and domestic based credit cards may now be used to make the following:

  • Purchase airline tickets for yourself, a friend or family member
  • Make car reservations
  • Make hotel reservations

Can I use a debit card?
Yes, we accept all debit cards for all ticket purchases.


What if I need to change my flight arrangements?
Most fares in Economy/Coach class have an airline-imposed penalty fee of $200 or more per passenger for changes and cancellations, plus any applicable increase in the fare. Some tickets are non-refundable, but can be applied (for a limited time) toward future travel, less any applicable penalties. Some tickets do not allow changes.
These are just estimates. Our agents will calculate final charges.
To change or cancel a flight, contact us directly, or the airline on which your travel is provided.
After your travel has commenced, tickets are non-refundable and all changes must be done directly with the airline.

Changing or canceling a hotel reservation
Lodging can be changed or canceled according to each property's rules and restrictions. Some properties impose penalties, such as one night's stay, if you cancel your reservation within a certain number of days before your scheduled check-in date. Other properties charge a small penalty for changes made any time after a room is booked. To change or cancel a lodging reservation, contact the lodging property directly.

Changing or canceling a rental car reservation
Rental car reservations can be canceled or changed at any time. Canceling a reservation will not result in a cancellation penalty. To change or cancel your rental car reservation, contact the car rental company directly.


What are e-tickets?
Electronic tickets, or e-tickets, now offered by many major airlines, allow you to travel without a paper ticket, eliminating the worry of leaving your tickets behind. E-tickets are claimed at the airport ticket counter, on the day of travel. An e-ticket confirms your airline ticket purchase without requiring a paper record; the only record of an e-ticket sale is in electronic form in the airline's computer system. When you buy e-tickets through ABSTravel.com, you'll receive a confirmation of your purchase via e-mail.


Where can I print my e-tickets??
Electronic ticket receipts may be printed online. From our home page click on CHECKMYTRIP or just click on the link http://abstravel.com/checkmytrip. Once you log-in, click on electronic ticket receipt on the left hand column.


Will I get e-tickets via email?
After your e-ticket has been issued you will receive an email with the electronic ticket receipt, showing you that the tickets are ready to be claimed at the airport ticket on the day of travel. You may also go to CHECKMYTRIP to print out an additional copy.


Can I pay for tickets for a friend?
Yes. You can purchase tickets for friends, for any type of itinerary. Domestic, international or multiple itinerary flights in your country or in another country. Just enter the name of the passenger in the passenger field when creating the traveler profile. Your name will go under the credit card holder name (payment information page).
Ticket delivery can be made to your address or to the passenger's origin city, via e-tickets or paper tickets according to the airline chosen. Additional forms may be required, such as a signed authorization form, with photocopies of your credit card and government issued photo id.

Can I purchase tickets and have them delivered somewhere else?
Yes! You can have your tickets delivered via courier to most cities worldwide. We also deliver tickets directly to the airport, when that service is available with the airlines


How will my tickets be delivered?
If you choose the e-ticket option and e-tickets are available, you will receive an e-mail that includes your itinerary information and confirmation numbers. You will not receive paper confirmation, receipt, or tickets unless you request them and pay for delivery of the passenger coupon/receipt. You will still need to claim your e-ticket at the airport ticket counter on the day of travel. When you check in for your flight, give the ticket agent your name and flight number, or provide a printed copy of your itinerary.
You must always provide a government-issued photo ID, such as your passport. Passports are required for all international travel.

PAPER TICKET
If the e-ticket option is unavailable for your flight, our booking engine will notify you of this option. You will then select the appropiate paper delivery fee for your country.
ABSTravel.com does provide worldwide ticket delivery, unlike other online travel web sites -that only deliver to the U.S. or U.K., we deliver tickets to any country, and can deliver to any house, business, hotel, hostel and most airport counters.
A shipping and handling fee will apply to paper tickets and will be included with all other charges, and is applied to your credit card (or invoice) at the time of purchase.


Do you deliver tickets to other countries?
Yes, we deliver tickets to other countries. Delivery is via electronic ticketing for claiming at the airport ticket counter, or paper ticket via courier. Our booking engine will advise you as to the form of delivery for the flights that you have chosen.


Do you deliver tickets to a hotel/hostel/business or alternate place other than my home?
Yes, we deliver tickets to your hotel/hostel, busines or office or any alternate address where a courier may get signature for delivery of the package. Postal office boxes (PO Boxes) are not allowed.


What if my tickets are lost or stolen?
If your paper airline tickets are lost or stolen, please contact us or call us immediately at . An ABS Travel representative will assist you in processing a lost ticket application.
In most cases, the airlines require you to purchase replacement tickets at "today's" fare. The ABS Travel representative will facilitate the sale of these tickets. If your original tickets are not used after a designated period of time-generally 3 to 4 months, depending on the airline-you will receive a credit for the purchase price of the original lost tickets, less the application fee. This fee varies by airline, but is typically $100.00 per traveler. Please note that these policies and fees are subject to change at any time. The ABS Travel representative will be able to provide the most recent information for your airline.
Each airline has its own rules and policies for issuing replacement tickets. ABSTravel.com is bound by these rules and policies and must adhere to them.


What is a service fee and why am I being charged one?
Service/handling fee - Service/handling fees are charged to cover expenses such as processing, automation and quality control of the reservation. ABS Travel charges a Booking Fee - this fee is nonrefundable and may appear as a separate charge on your credit card statement.
